It came from Taza Impact’s campaign, “He needs sanitary napkins. No one can know.”
#FullStackWoke is our term for a project that serves people who live with four or more stacked marginalizations at the same time. African refugees who are queer, trans, living in extreme poverty, navigating displacement, stigma, and is a menstruating man. These are the individuals who experience every layer of systemic failure at once. See post, “Who is the poorest person on earth?”
And “Full Stack” is a tech term that suggests all the layers of a system, end to end — from the interface you see to the deep logic underneath. In the same way, FullStackWoke recognizes every layer of compounding descrimination.
And for us, FullStackWoke is simple: these are the people we help first, the people for whom we build Marla.AI, and the leadership of the Dusoma Foundation
FAQ: What is a Marla.AI #FullStackWoke BattleBot?
Our first MVP is mini chatbots that are designed to fight systems of oppression, one little bot at a time, one knowledge document at a time.
For example, “Transgender Ally Talking Points” is a Marla.AI BattleBot that helps you generate some quick answers, responses or talking points related to transgender issues. They help only with allyship, and do not provide medical information or waste water with interactions with trolls.
